Are You Eco-Friendly?

Eco-friendly literally means earth-friendly or not harmful to the environment, and an eco-friendly business is one that tries to lower its impact on its own environment and lower its carbon footprint for example.

An eco-friendly business, or “green business” is one that demonstrates a commitment to an environmentally sustainable future. Green businesses strive to have a positive impact on the environment and their community. This can be achieved through many practices and strategies, from recycling to sourcing local products to promoting energy efficiency.

At Fresh, we are working towards becoming an Eco-friendly or green business, and this is because we are passionate about our impact on the environment and what legacy we will leave behind. You may have seen our recent video series which is a little off-piste compared to our normal topics, as it is indeed about climate change. We explain some of the definitions of words we hear a lot that is associated with climate change and we talk about how we are personally aiming to reduce our own carbon footprint as well as the carbon footprint within Fresh Perspective.

Running an environmentally friendly business helps us to reduce our impact on the environment and preserves natural resources. Your business can also help to preserve the environment in many ways. For example, you can:

Making your business environmentally friendly not only benefits the environment but can also save you money. For example, you can recycle to cut the cost of waste management, and reduce your paper and printing use by turning some processes digital.

As well as being unique and innovative within the recruitment sector, we hope that by being a green and sustainable business we will influence our community and the business networks we operate within. We are trying to use our marketing platforms and communities not only to spread the positive message around Fresh but also to make a difference in the world that we live in!

We also promote locally sourced produce and products. In addition to its positive environmental impact, locally-made products have a level of uniqueness that isn’t necessarily found in larger chain stores. While chain stores often stock products that reflect national demands, we have found that our local eco-friendly stores are more likely to focus on the interests of the community.

Products from our local producers allow customers to share the special characteristics of our local area with family and friends around the world. There’s something special about buying local products you can’t get anywhere else.
