Have you ever thought about why you get out of bed in the morning?

Okay, I really want you to think about your “Why”.

Your “why” is incredibly important, whether you think about it with regards to your personal life or your business, it’s what will drive you to reach and achieve your goals, aspirations and objectives and what will push you to keep going when things are tough.

Think about your why as the fuel to your motivation.

When you hear your alarm in the morning do you have the motivation to get out of bed and get started on with your day? Or do you sigh and give yourself ten more minutes and press snooze a gazillion times?

When you think about your “why”, it should be the reason you get up each day, carry out the work you do and it should have also helped shape the career you have or business you created.

German philosopher Frederick Nietzsche once said, ‘He who has a why can endure any how.’ Knowing your “why” is an important first step in figuring out how to achieve the goals that excite and inspire you, create a life you truly enjoy living (versus merely surviving!) and do the things that bring you joy.

Indeed, only when you know your “why” will you find the courage to take the risks needed to get ahead, stay motivated when the chips are down, and move your life onto an entirely new, more challenging, and more rewarding trajectory.

At Fresh Perspective our “why” is evolving, in an incredibly positive way, our initial “why” has started to grow and branch into different aspects within the world of recruitment.

So, how do we use our “why”?

1.     To create a business with a positive team culture and vision.

We want to create a culture where we can celebrate our successes, where people look forward to coming to work every day and don’t want to leave at night. We are a high-energy, fast-growth, innovative, kind and fun company that’s a great place to work, and we want other people to notice.

We think that to have a clear business culture you must know why you want to create one in the first place!

2.     To move towards our goals for 2019.

Your goals need your “why” as motivation to be fulfilled, or they can be seen as more of chore than the exciting process they are supposed to be. It’s really important to know why you are doing something!

3.     To inspire others to find their “why”!

Vision and passion are important, but your employees must trust you if you want them to feel inspired. They must believe in your integrity and see it played out in decisions and customer and employee treatment. Your integrity is fueled by why you created the business, why you do what you do and in turn, by sticking to your “why” you will inspire others to stick to theirs, which should ensure that the baton of inspiration is passed on!

Have a great week!

The Fresh Perspective Team! xx
